More wild herbs for the kitchen and the medicine chest (part 3)
Every day, in the spring, when we walks into the forest, we can see the changes in the nature. More and more flowers pops up, the trees gets more and more green, everything happens while the spring gets closer to the summer. This is a good time to collect herbs, to dry them for tea, or blanch and freeze them so they are ready for use, for soup or sauce, or just freeze them directly. In this article, we will give you some advice about the herbs we just found.
1: cleavers:

This weed pops up everywhere. It sticks on your cloths, and when you touch it, it feels hairy. Anyway; this herb is amazing: it is diuretic, and helps to remove grit and stone from your urethra and heals infections in the urinary system. It removes waste products in the lymph system, and cleans up your blood system.
The cleavers can be used as tea, and it can be chopped and used as spinach. The tea are a very good rinse for your hair. There are none secondary effects.
2: dead-nettle:

The dead-nettle looks like the stinging nettle, except the white flowers. It does not sting, and are not in the same family. The plant is good as a vegetable in the soup, or good as a tasty tea. You can dry it, or freeze it down. The herb are good against cystitis. There are none secondary effects.
3: plantain:

The plantains are 30% mucilage, and are expectorant and good for bronchitis and cough. Also, it contains silicic acid, tannin, vitamin C and natural sugar.
Crushed leaves can be used to stop bleedings, and against pain after insect bite. You can use the plant in tea and as a vegetable in soup. There are none secondary effects.
4: mint, water mint and spearmint:

Mint is a good and tasteful herb. Herb tea with mint, is a good refreshment. It contain menthol, which are bactericidal and fights parasites. The oil fights inflammation and heals wounds. Peppermint oil are used as pain-killing drug and in massage oils. Menthol cools the skin, and enhances the afflux of blood where you use it at your skin.
5: Hawthorn:

The flowers from hawthorn are used in tea. They fortify the circulation of blood, and adjust the blood pressure.
6: Sweet Cicely:

Sweet cicely are a very beautiful and tasteful herb. If you rub a leaf between your fingers and smells to them, it will smell like anise or liquorices, then you are very sure, this is a sweet cicely. The fresh, green seed are used as goodies, and are very good as sprinkle on ice cream or in liqueur. The herb are used in tea.
